1.Because of the state of Illinois's ridiculous policy of closing schools and shutting down sports, we were harmed. So, we moved. Not all families had the luxury of doing what we did. Our 16 year old son (at the time -3.2020) suffered from anxiety and bullying. Staying at home was not an option for schooling. We moved to the state of Florida. Schools in Florida were open and sports were played during the pandemic from May 2020 and continue to be played today. Not one child I met in Florida throughout travel sports or any other sports' seasons May 2020-Aug 2022 ever died from COVID. Same in Illinois. However, I do know one child-a boy in Illinois-who committed suicide during this time frame.

2. I wish people knew that children here in Florida were able to maintain normal lives and were able to interact and go to school. Just because we live in Florida does not mean that kids in Illinois should have suffered the way Illinoisans did. It was so upsetting to see paid CTU teachers posting on social media their traveling, dancing, drinking and "whooping it up" escapades while the kids suffered the most were FORCED TO STAY AT HOME. They should all be put on leave. The lack of scientific evidence shouldn't have dictated the closure of schools to the detriment of children, especially since school aged children were not an at risk group.

My son was one of three students severely punished (scapegoated) after his mask protest video of kids assembling in the gym went viral and was reposted by you and Gary Rabine on Twitter and Instagram. He lost his entire spring of 22 season and was socially isolated from everyone, including his own twin brother who naively thought he could have a sports season until his name was omitted from the roster.

My boys will be juniors in high school and haven’t had a normal sports season since the 7th grade. The punishment led to us having to withdraw him from school after 5 weeks. He was headed down a destructive path. His own lacrosse coaches and many friends never spoke to him or us again. We lost our support system of the past two years. His grades were in the toilet and we enrolled him in his home public high school. The private school would not sign his IHSA forms to allow him to play there either and IHSA denied our appeal. The punishment was politically motivated.

We luckily found a good therapist, his travel lacrosse coaches had private lessons and we had the boys in personal training.

It’s hard to play travel lacrosse when you can’t leave the state without ridiculous testing and quarantining for 10 days in high school.

I blame our bizarre public health messaging, politicians including Pritzker and Lightfoot, the corrupt CDC and FDA. I blame IHSA. I blame other parents in my school community who planned a protest and then left 3 kids to be stripped of all their dignity with punishments that lasted over a year in length. I blame school administrators and boards that implemented policies that put the needs of adults over the needs of the students they have been entrusted to care for. I blame the political climate in Illinois and the politicization of our medical industry. I blame the installed President of the United States. He is corrupt and evil. Six months have gone by since the mask protest that I did not plan or attend yet I think about it everyday. I am angry. Going forward my kids will both be at their home public school. When they go to college we are all leaving Illinois.

I have been suspended two times at my

IL state job for not consenting to masking due to the negative effects it has on my health. That is a total of 3 weeks unpaid and I will be suspended again the next time I work in the office -up to 20days unpaid next time. The state doesnt care about my health or my rights! They only want to make everyone feel like they should live in fear so the state can tell them what to do. IL is an awful blue hole & I hope it turns RED in Nov!

My life was diminished by IL policies, during CoVid. My store was forced to close, so l lost my job. My husband became a WFH employee, for good. Married for 30 years but had always had boundaries & space. Not now. Plus, husband took the vaccine ( I did not for potential medical contradictions with clotting history). He enjoyed a social life during the vax mandates in Cook Co, where we live. He STILL goes to clubs, in Chicago, where you STILL need a vax pass! He bought into lockdown/masks/vaccine narrative, I did not. JB Pritzker's demonization of people like me have destroyed marriages. I do not wallow in pity. I persevere and am starting a new life. Will be moving out of state, this spring.

My family was harmed. First, my husband lost his job then we pulled my son out of elementary school to homeschool him so he wouldn’t fall behind. Third, I also almost lost my job due to the vaccine mandate, luckily I was granted a religious exemption.

I wish more people understood that the pandemic-response policiies severely harmed families. Pritzker is ultimately responsible for the harm. He could have taken Florida’s Ron Desantis approach instead he only listened to a couple doctors. All Illinois officials involved in causing harm should be held accountable by having the full force of the law applied to them and be imprisoned, but not before apologizing to everyone!

After all of this, My family and I recently made it out of Illinois and are blessed to be living in a new state that values freedom.

Chicago here. Harmed. My church was closed for a full year. Unmasked were banned for 1 week short of another full year. I've lost nearly all my friends, including young children I used to babysit.

After meeting with leadership, I finally went to a service for the first time in over 2 years. It was sweet to be welcomed back. But I was a wreck. I couldn't stop crying. I thought I'd prepared myself, but hugging people and seeing one of the kids I used to babysit gutted me. He didn't know me anymore. His brother had been a baby and now was running around. Earlier (with kids not around) his father told me they'd been looking through old videos and they'd asked him who I was. Yeah, I lost it again. And that's just one family. There are others I haven't even seen yet. One family is even now gone to another church. (Not Covid related.) I learned about it on video. I've lost all of these kids forever.

Nothing is settled. I'm still in-between. There was nothing said in the meeting that gave me hope that they won't do the same thing if mandates start up again. When/if we do meet again, I will ask them to tell me, straight out. I cannot endure this pain a second time.

And that's just one of the harms. I'll stop there.

My situation was mild compared to other people. But when you're single, your church very much becomes your family. I've lost mine. That's not a small thing.

Politicians who did this all need to be voted out. Every last one of them. And some people involved belong in jail. I'll leave it at that.

Sometimes I wonder what it will take to really shake people up.

What is the CDC ( or IDPH or ISBE ) “ recommended “ to the schools that all covid unvaccinated kids be put on a different bus today and be taken to a quarantine camp. Would the school have followed that recommendation???

How would parents feel when only vaccinated kids were bused home ? How close were we to this happening ? Could it happen in the future ? When the next virus comes ?

We were hurt by all the “ COVID theater “

At the schools.

Lawsuits are the only way.

I’m confused by the recent outcome of the DeVore lawsuit. Are those being sued saying - Oops sorry we will stop. Is that going to prevent masking and discrimination against the unvaccinated in the future ?

My kids were harmed. They were shut out of school for two years. I lost my community - as being one of the few that saw through the lies and charades of our government. I think that charges should be pressed against Pritzker, Lightfoot and School Board members.

1. We were harmed. Our kids (one in high school, one in junior high) were barred from in-person instruction for a year.

2. My kids and healthy adults were not the problem during the pandemic- far from it. But my kids were made to pay the price for fearmongering by politicians and the mainstream media

3. Those responsible include my local school boards, local school administrators, Gov Pritzker, and the members of the General Assembly who did not stand up to Pritzker and his emergency decrees. Governor Reynolds and the legislature in Iowa ordered all schools in Iowa to offer full-time in-person instruction starting in February 2021. Why didn't that happen here?

4. All of the local officials listed above need to be voted out of office. And the responsible school administrators need to be fired.

Covid irrational lockdowns put into effect by a corrupt governor pandering to the teachers union destroyed youth sports programs. Children were negatively impacted both mentally and physically by Pritzker’s irrational lockdowns.

JB pritzker taught my kids several things:

1) they want to go to school

2) who you vote for can matter.

3) laws don't apply to those in charge

4) online learning is no substitute for in person.

The adults were fortunate to have NOT lost any work days due to above mentioned person.

One adult was fortunate enough to have an employer who disregarded masks and that kids had a that daycare who did so as well. Not a single case of C19 transmission due to no masking of the above.

Blame JB / FDA / CDC / Fauci / Biden / IL AG / ISBE / IDPH / E Landon for the lies, deceit, twisting of data, and blindly follow the edicts of the clown above them.
